The exhibition is an artistic installation that evokes memories of a beach trip. Vegetation, sand, and shells take center stage, while hidden creatures lurk within the environment, waiting to be discovered.
"Algae are extremely important, both for marine life and indeed for the entire ecosystem of the world. Algae are absolutely essential for us and all living things on earth. Their well-being depends on us respecting them and the marine life as a whole. The goal must therefore always be to protect them from harmful effects."
Artists: Bryndís Magnúsdóttir, Marsibil Sól Þórarinsdóttir, Salóme Bregt Hollanders and Katrín Þorvaldsdóttir.
Sound installation: Indriði Arnar Ingólfsson.
The exhibition runs until August 31, 2024
