Whale School

The Children’s Whale School is an educational program that aims to educate pupils of all school levels, from Kindergarten to University, about the whales and their life in Icelandic Oceans.

It is expected that every pupil visits the Children’s Whale School at least four times during their schooling. In Kindergarten, in the 2nd grade and 5th grade.

Thus, pupils will get tasks that suit their educational capacity and growth each time. In that way their knowledge of the whales around Iceland increases step by step.

At a younger age, pupils get easy tasks based on learning through action and perception, whereas the same pupils get more complicated tasks as they get older, based on the knowledge already obtained at the Children’s Whale School.
