The season has started at Húsavík Adventures

Spring is getting closer even though there is still snow in Húsavík. Soon news was received that the first puffins had arrived in Grímsey, and therefore it should not be long until Lundey receives its annual summer visitors for the purpose of raising their young.

Today, Húsavík Adventures started its whale watching season, and three companies have started their operations for 2019. This is the fifth season for the RIB whale watching company, which was founded in the middle of summer 2015. On this occasion, Eva Björk Káradóttir, the director of the Whale Museum in Húsavík Ármann, gave the manager Erni Gunnlaugsson Húsavík Adventures bouquet and drawing by Spanish artist Rena Ortega.

Season premiere at Húsavík Adventures

The spring is getting closer every day although we still have snow in Húsavík. Yesterday news spread about the arrival of the first puffins of 2019 in Grímey island. That means that it won't be long until we'll see the first puffins arrive at Puffin Island in order to breed and then feed their young ones.

Today was the season premiere for Húsavík Adventures, the third out of four companies in Húsavík to start their season this year. It's the fifth season for the RIB whale watching company which began its history in the middle of 2015 summer. For this occasion, the Húsavík Whale Museum manager Eva Björk Káradóttir gave flowers and a drawing by Renata Ortega to Húsavík Adventures's manager Ármann Örn Gunnlaugsson.
