Art Without Borders

Art Without Borders 2016 was celebrated at the Húsavík Whale Museum on Saturday the 14th of May, with the opening of a new art exhibition. The exhibition is a collaboration between Miðjan, the day care centre for people with special needs, Fjúk Art Centre, the children’s nursery Grænuvellir and the educational system centre Þekkingarnet Þingeyinga, all from Húsavík. Art Without Borders has become a regular event in the cultural year in Húsavík and it is an honour for the museum to be a part of this year´s events. About 50 people have participated in the making of the exhibition and will the exhibition remain on view for one year. In addition various items and art pieces are for sale in the museum shop.
